Let me keep it simple: Is your company, charity, association, event, group, etc. or just yourself involved in a project that is going to help improve this World? Well, then, I can help you by offering a 50% discount on my rates, and free kick-ass hosting and domain. Need I say more? Then contact me at webmasters@quomo.org
This offers last until the 1st of April 2010.

As a veteran Web Designer, I have used many hosting companies, control panels, and customer support services over the years. Sadly, many of the Irish hosting providers are a nightmare. Poor service. Unintelligible control panels. Help that leaves a lot to be desired. I don’t want to have to deal with them anymore. So off I went to investigate the best possible hosting I could find. Now I offer you the chance to join me in using this reliable hosting service.
Quomo’s Hosting Service Is Suitable For You If:
From as little as €2.99 a month:
Below is a screenshot of my personal stuff: 6 web sites, 11 subdomains, 11 databases etc. – a fairly busy hosting. The average response time is less than 20 minutes. And this was where I had to contact support to find out about particularly unusual things.

So if you’re sick of being ripped off by Irish hosting companies:
Go on, give it a try and see for yourself, or find out more about the specs.
Im looking for a Web Designer/Developer to do unpaid work experience for an ongoing project. It will be a great way to further your skills in designing as much as coding. You will have the choice to either work at Quomo’s office, or from your home. While it is unpaid for, the learning process will be quite beneficial for any Junior person, and I will make sure you are improving your skills while enjoying. The end product will be a great self-promotion.
All I need is a person that has a basic understanding of HTML, PHP, CSS, some basic Photoshop skills, and is eager to learn and happy to work on his own. Training will be provided, but you are expected to work on your own, at your own pace.
Interested? Convince me
BABYPOTZ has just launched its new site for the Spanish speaking market. BABYPOTZ has been doing very well in the UK and Irish markets, offering a very simple and unique product. Now they attempt to convince the Spanish speaking user, and that could mean a good few millions worldwide. The new site is in live here.
The Web Trend Map 4 is out now free for download thanks to Information Architects. The idea behind the Web Trend Map is to create a metro-like map of the Internet’s biggest names and domains, that have been selected in consultation, and that are represented in order of importance and relevance. Fantastic work!!
These are some pics from last night’s BYOB at C • ONTRAST ofices, where Decisions for Heroes (D4H) enjoyed a special launch. It was great to meet everyone, and see how human we all are. We are missing some pics of Eamon Leonard, James (WTF?), Aido, and other guys I dunno yet: sorry!
Some posts about Decision for Heroes online:

All the best to D4H.
Summer is great in Dublin: everyone is enjoying a Flake 99, strolling up and down the streets in search of something to look at, something to do, something to buy, at the slowest pace ever. When suddenly a bunch of tourist compete with your understanding of public space and barricade the street, with the aid of backpacks.
I do hope that the next time this happens, at least we see them wearing a Green-Bull-chewing-a-shamrock sticker. Why? Well, that is the logo of Dublín en Español, for whom I did the web and graphic design.Wouldnt it be great if they were called instead ‘The Green Bull’?
Watch out for those!
Even though it may seem so, that red haired guy has nothing to do with David McSavage.
I am doing the rounds these days, gathering people’s interest in a new business idea. And guess what is the response of most people? Negative. I am selling a vision, so it surprises me that people responses can be negative, rather than constructive.
I mean, is like this: I am putting forward the idea of an orange, its concept, its ideal description, and not a physical orange. I am engaging you to create the perfect orange. So if you come back to me saying that it is a ridiculous idea, all I can think is that your vision of what an orange is, is what is ridiculous. Get it?
I have heard the most ridiculous reasons to dislike my vision, and discovered that only those gifted with the power of vision can focus on the ideal. Those are the people I will engage. I need no anchors to slow me down. I keep wondering how is it possible that people spend most of their time complaining, looking for problems, or studying possibilities, rather than doing. Doing: that is what everyone should… well, do.
